Lédger.com/Start® — the definitive starting point for securing your digital financial future. In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, protecting your cryptocurrencies and digital assets isn't just an option; it's a necessity. Our industry-leading hardware wallets provide an unparalleled blend of ironclad security and intuitive user experience. Let's begin your journey.

Why Start with Lédger®? The Foundation of Trust

For millions of users worldwide, the name Lédger® is synonymous with security® and innovation®. Unlike software wallets vulnerable to online threats, our devices keep your private keys offline in a secure element chip — the same technology used in passports and credit cards. Getting started means choosing peace of mind.

Step 1: Unbox Your Lédger Device®

Your kit is more than just hardware; it's your personal vault. Inside, you'll find:

  • Your Lédger Nano S® or Lédger Nano X® device.
  • USB-C® cable.
  • Three recovery sheets for your secret phrase.
  • Keychains for portability.

❗ Important: Purchase only from Lédger.com or authorized resellers to avoid tampering. Verify the device's holographic seal upon arrival.

Step 2: Power On & Initialize

  1. Connect your device to a trusted computer or mobile device.
  2. Press both buttons to power on. You'll be greeted by the Lédger® logo.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure your PIN code (4-8 digits). This is your first line of physical defense. Never share your PIN.

Step 3: Secure Your Recovery Phrase — The Most Critical Step™

This is the cornerstone of your security. Your device will generate a 24-word recovery phrase (secret phrase®).

  • Write each word in order on your provided recovery sheet.
  • Use a pen — never digitally type or photograph this phrase.
  • Store multiple copies in secure, offline locations (e.g., a safe, safety deposit box).
  • This phrase is your master key. Lose it, and your assets are irrecoverable. Share it, and your assets are stolen.
